Run Event 2024

WHAT A DAY !!
The sun shone down on everyone on Sunday morning June 23rd as the runners of the BTR 5k, 10k and Half Marathon made their way around the outskirts of Tralee town.
Led out by the cyclists Paudie Moriarty (Half Marathon) and Michelle Greaney (10K) and paced by our amazing support team of Chris Grayson 1.40, Jack Moriarty 1.50, Tony Ponti 2.00, Ciara O Callaghan 2.10, Liam Horan 2.20, and Kathy Jordan 2.30.
The route was lined with our fantastic volunteers from BTR and Kerry Cancer Support Group guiding the runners around the course with plenty of support and encouragement.
We were delighted to have the Kerry Rose Emer Dineen and Breda Dyland (Kerry Cancer Support Group ) to help present the awards to our winners and medals to all our finishers in the fabulous surrounds of Tralee Bay Wetlands
We have so many to Thank for helping us make the day so special
Kerry Coco, Tralee Tidy Towns, Trophy World, Barry Fitzgerald, Kieran Connolly , Jerry Walsh, Kerry’s Eye, Vincent and Catherine Guthrie, Mary and Margaret at @ Tralee Bay Wetlands for all the help with registration and the use of the facilities at the centre and Cafe, our First Aider and all our amazing volunteers on the day.
Our own BTR members who always go above and beyond to help where they can, from sorting the signage , stewarding, baking and just being the amazing people they are.
And of course to all who signed up to run ,whether it was the 5k, 10k or 1/2 marathon your entry fee goes directly to Kerry Cancer Support Group to help keep the buses on the road taking patients for their treatments in Kerry, Cork and Limerick.
Finally to the committee of BTR who do amazing work behind the scenes to make the day as good as it can be, take a bow for a job well done.
