Sunday 25th June, saw Tralee Bay Wetlands become a hive of activity as it played host to our Club for our annual running event. Building on the the success of our Club series last year, this year the incoming committee decided to do it different this year and hold all three runs on the same day, with staggered start times for each of the distances to ensure that runners across the different distances would come across the finish in close proximity of each other, this proved to be highly successful with entrants remarking that it really added to the atmosphere on the day.
The success of the day was down to the the hard work of the committee and the many volunteers dotted around the course and at the finish line.
We had runners taking part not only from Kerry, but from right across the country, with even some who were home on holidays from the UK and USA taking part.
In the lead up to the day we held a competition whereby anyone who signed up for one the the runs by the 23rdJune would win back the cost of their entrance fee – the lucky winner was Liz O’Donnell who took part in the 10k.
