After months of training in all weather conditions the group headed to Dublin to compete in the Dublin Marathon. They lined out at the start and 26.2 miles later they crossed the finish line to the sound of the huge crowds cheering them on to receive the coveted medal and top.

Earlier in the month our international runners ran in Amsterdam taking part in Parkrun and also the 8k event finishing in the Olympic stadium in Amsterdam. By all accounts it was a great weekend and planning has begun in searching for the next destination.
Congratulations also to John Counihan who crossed the Atlantic and ran yet another marathon taking part in the Chicago marathon.
A fond farewell to three of our members who graduated from Tralee MTU last week Ashley Pozzo, Chloe Payne and Jamie Maidwell the girls from Zimbabwe joined BTR after coming to Tralee to study. They have now finished and are moving on to the next chapter in their lives. We wish them every success in the future.
Over the past 7 weeks we have been running our successful couch to 5k program, the participants are progressing very well thanks to the mentors who help and encourage them along the way. There is one more week of the program and then they will run the 5k distance on Tuesday the 15th so we ask that all club members attend training at 6.30 and welcome the couch to 5k graduates to the club.
