
Representatives from the organising committee of the Born to Run – 40 Mile Ultra Marathon and Relay were trilled to have been welcomed by staff and student of St. Ita’s and St Joseph’s School where the proceeds from this years event were handed over to our charity partner. Principal Grace Sheahan and our very own Aoife O’ Connor were on hand to accept the check on behalf of the school and the student body was present to show their appreciation.
The profit from our sell-out 40 mile ultra marathon and relay event in July, will go towards the development of a vocational centre including a hairdressing training facility, woodwork room and school café to support pupils with mild learning disabilities meet their full potential.
Born to Run are delighted to once again be supporting this wonderful services that supports some of the most vulnerable members of our society. I’m sure our participants too well be glad to know that their entry fees are aiding a fantastic cause and our sponsors too are essential to the continued success of the event and the good causes it helps.
