Super Success for 40 Miler

Once again the Born to Run 40 Mile Ultra and Relay was a sellout success. Sunshine and fun were the order of the day when 122 runners took to the famous 4 mile loop that saw some grate competition in all categories.

Feedback was again overwhelmingly positive and once again it was the enthusiasm and dedication of our stewards and other volunteers that was the main focus of praise.

Denis Keane took the men’s gong while Lou McLaughlin was the winner in the women’s race. David Wallace and Derek Griffin of team H&T took the Tag Team honors, while team Scrambled Legs took the Relay Shield home to Galway with them after an epic battle with the defending champions from Born to Run. Lastly but by no means least thank you to all our sponsors who made the day possible. We could never have brought such an event to fruition without your support.

Lastly to our charity partner, St. Itia’s and St. Joseph’s School we are honored to once again support your fundraising efforts in pursuit of delivering such an excellent service. We are working to finalise our figures for the event and will soon announce what we have managed to raise.
