Director’s Run Completed Ahead of Main Event

2019 BTR 40 Mile race directors about to set out on 40 miles

With the 2019 Born to Run 40 Mile Ultra Marathon and Relay only 7 days away the 2019 race committee who will undoubtedly busy on the 27th July too the opportunity to run there race on Saturday. With perfect running conditions and no little support from club mates the race made for a grate experience and reward for the committee’s hard work to make this event happen.

The committee’s attention now turns to the race itself and to finishing preparations to once again make this a very special race. Remember Sandra and Aoife are coordinating the volunteers and would to here from you if you have any spare time on Saturday.

We’re down to the last 6 places in the individual event, while only 1 and 2 spots remain in the tag and relay events respectively.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Rose Hotel at number pick up at 7pm – 9pm Friday and at the start-line at 7am. Don’t forget if you can’t make it to number pick up on friday, you will be able to bib Saturday 6am – 6:45am.

40 Mile Ultra and Relay Approaching Sell Out

Captain of last years winning relay team Tommy Horan returns the Prestige Marketing Shield ahead of the big event.

The count down to the Born to Run – Tralee Marathon Club 40 Mile Ultra and Relay began in earnest on Tuesday evening when Tommy Horan captain of last years winning relay team returned the Prestige Marketing Shield to race committee members Marilyn O’ Shea and Liam Horan.

There has once again been an extraordinary response from the business community of the town to our call out for support. The club would very much like to thank Tile Master Ardfert, The Brogue Inn, IFSC , The Ashe Hotel, Cara Credit Union, Clifford’s Gala Cash and Carry, Four Star Pizza, The Rose Hotel, The Aqua Dome, Kingdom Kitchen and Kingdom Store. For there valued support.

Registration has been brisk over the past week and only 7 spots remain in the Individual 40 Mile event. While in the 2 person tag we can accommodate 3 more teams and only 2 spots remain in the 4 person relay. So register now to avoid disappointment.
